The Omani national team narrowly defeated its Palestinian counterpart (1-0), this evening, Thursday, in the fifth round of the third stage of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in America, Mexico and Canada.

At the Sultan Qaboos Complex Stadium in Bausher, the Omani team’s goal was scored by its star, Mohsen Al-Ghassani, in the 83rd minute.

This is the second victory for Red Al Khaleej in this stage of the qualifiers, as it previously defeated Kuwait (4-0), while it lost 3 matches against “Iraq, South Korea, and Jordan.”

The Oman national team raised its score to 6 points to occupy fourth place, while the Palestine national team occupies the sixth and last place with two points.

The South Korean national team leads the group with 13 points, while the Kuwait national team occupies fifth place (penultimate) with 3 points
