Yemen and Kuwait tied friendly in preparation for Gulf 26

The friendly match between Kuwait and Yemen ended in a 1-1 draw at Al Nahyan Stadium in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, as part of the teams’ preparations for the “Gulf 26” tournament hosted by Kuwait.
Ali Khalaf missed a penalty kick for the Kuwaiti team, after which the Yemeni team was able to score the lead goal in the 86th minute through Abdul Majeed Sabara.
The Kuwaiti national team managed to equalize in the last moments through Salman Al-Awadi.
The competitions of the next edition of the Gulf Cup will be held in Kuwait during the period from December 21, 2024 until January 3, 2025.
The Kuwaiti team plays in the first group with the teams of Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
As for the Yemeni national team, it will compete in the second group with Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Iraq.
