The curtain came down on the first match in the Arabian Gulf Cup tournament, “Gulf 26”, hosted by Kuwait.

The Kuwait-Oman match was decided by a 1-1 draw, at the opening of the 26th Gulf Championship.

The two goals came in the first half, as the Kuwaiti team took the lead in the 34th minute through Youssef Nasser, while Issam Sobhi scored the equalizer for Oman in the 42nd minute.

It is noteworthy that the match was held at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, with a crowd of more than 42 thousand spectators in attendance.

With this, each team earns one point, temporarily sharing the top spot in Group A until the end of the round.

It is worth noting that the Kuwaiti and Omani teams are competing in the first group, which also includes the UAE and Qatar.

From the Kuwait vs. Oman match in Gulf 26

The UAE and Qatar teams will meet in the first round later today, Saturday.

In the second round, the Kuwaiti national team will meet its Emirati counterpart, while the Omani national team will play with Qatar, next Tuesday.

It is worth noting that the 26th Gulf Championship will be held in Kuwait during the period from December 21 to January 3 next.
