Algerian Noureddine Ould Ali, coach of the Yemeni national team, praised the performance of his team that faced the Saudi national team, despite the loss by three goals to two, indicating that despite the difficulties facing their work, they gave a wonderful performance.
The Yemeni team lost the result of the match in its final minutes after the tie continued at 2-2 until the third minute of stoppage time, when Abdullah Al-Hamdan scored the third goal for the Saudi team to win the match and its three points.
Noureddine Ould Ali said in the press conference after the match: “We were quicker today with attacks, and the Saudi team has a problem in depth, and we tried to exploit that, but do not forget that the Saudi team remains a heavy team, regardless of its circumstances.”
The Yemeni national team coach added: “When I arrived, I saw the strengths of the Yemeni national team, and I built on them. The results are not good, and I know that the players are working hard. During the first half, I saw the principles that I want. The circumstances are difficult and the players are facing problems, so I thank them.”< /p>
Bin Ali spoke about the big differences between the Saudi and Yemeni leagues, saying: “It is not possible to compare the Saudi and Yemeni leagues. The Saudi league is one of the best leagues in the world.”
He added: “I expected the players to appear like this. Yes, there are differences between the Saudi League and the Yemeni League. We have talent and desire, but the Yemeni player does not play at a high level, as happens in the Saudi League, which I repeat is an international league.”
He continued: “This generation in the Yemeni national team has a spirit and must achieve something different. There is a tactical commitment and we played to our potential, and in the near future we will work more.”
Noureddine concluded his talk about the confrontation referee by saying that he helped the Saudi team, saying: “I spoke with the referee because he greatly respected the Saudi team, and that gave them extra power over us.”
