Globe Soccer: Ronaldo is the best player in the Middle East and Al Ain is the best club

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo won the Best Player in the Middle East award at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, while Al Ain from the Emirates won the Best Club award in the same region on Friday.
Brazilian Jorge Jesus, coach of Al Hilal Saudi Arabia, won the Best Coach Award in the Middle East.
Ronaldo, the Saudi star of Al-Nasr, competed with Moroccan Sufyan Rahimi (Al-Ain, UAE), Serbian Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Al-Hilal), Saudi Salem Al-Dosari (Al-Hilal), and Algerian Riyad Mahrez (Al-Ahly, Saudi Arabia).
Ronaldo's coronation came minutes after he spoke in the same hall in a dialogue session accompanied by Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois at the Dubai Sports Conference.
In the award for the best club in the Middle East, Al-Ain, the Asian champion, beat Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia and Al-Ahly of Egypt, the African champion.
