To the Gulf Final 26... Oman’s national team eliminates Saudi Arabia

The Oman national team secured the first ticket in the 26th Gulf Cup final, by defeating Saudi Arabia (2-1) in the semi-final, today, Tuesday.
Arshad Al-Alawi and Ali Al-Busaidi scored the goals that won the Omani Reds in the 73rd and 84th minutes, while Mohammed Kanno scored the only goal for Saudi Arabia.
Oman will meet the winner of the Kuwait-Bahrain match, which will be held later today.
Omani Red is looking forward to winning the Gulf Cup title for the third time after the 2009 and 2018 titles.
Saudi opportunities and the expulsion of an Omani
The Saudi national team pressed hard from the beginning of the first half, and were close to scoring against Oman with a beautiful first goal via a free ball from captain Salem Al-Dosari, which was saved by goalkeeper Fayez Al-Rashidi.
Al-Akhdar missed an easy opportunity to score midway through the first half when Abdullah Al-Hamdan sent the ball towards Marwan Al-Sahafi, who missed it in a strange way.
The Omani national team suffered a strong blow in the 34th minute when its player, Al-Mundhir Al-Alawi, was sent off after his violent intervention on Al-Dosari.
The Oman winger became the fifth player to be expelled in the current edition, after Emirati Kwame Otton, Yemeni Rami Al-Wasmani, Qatari Asim Madibo, and Bahraini Sayed Mahdi Baqir.
Al-Rashidi stole the show in the 44th minute with a brilliant save from an attempt by Al-Dosari, who dribbled past a defender before shooting the ball into the arms of the Omani goalkeeper.
Mohamed Al Owais responded with a beautiful save when he saved the Saudi Green goal from a powerful ground shot from Issam Al Subhi.
Oman stuns Saudi Arabia
The Saudi national team continued to be dangerous at the beginning of the second half, threatening Al-Rashidi’s goal with Musab Al-Jawir’s shot in the 51st minute.
After an organized attack, Al-Hamdan ended Oman’s steadfastness by scoring the first goal in the 59th minute, but the joy did not last long after Turkish referee Halil Umut Miller canceled the goal due to offside.
The journalist rejected Al-Jawair’s gift after he was alone with goalkeeper Al-Rashidi and shot outside the goal despite his appropriate position in the 70th minute.
Against the course of play, Oman scored a beautiful goal through a powerful shot from Arshad Al-Alawi, which Al-Jawir changed its direction into the net of his teammate Al-Owais in the 73rd minute.
And while the Saudi defense was unaware, Ali Al Busaidi surprised goalkeeper Al Owais with a second goal in the 85th minute, to the amazement of Al Akhdar fans.
Mohamed Kanno fired a wonderful missile in the 87th minute against Al-Rashidi, announcing Saudi Arabia's first goal.
The summit of the two teams ended with a second red card in the face of the Saudi player Abdul-Ilah Al-Hawsawi in the ninth minute of stoppage time
