Al-Nasr achieved an important victory over its guest, Al-Akhdood, 3-1, today, Thursday, in a match that was held between them within the 14th round of the Roshan Saudi Professional League.
Al-Nasr turned a goal down to win by three, as “Al-Alamy” prevailed by two goals to one in an exciting first half, before the third goal came in the final minutes of the second half.
Al-Nasr raised its score to 28 points, jumping to third place on goal difference temporarily from Al-Qadisiyah, while Al-Ukhdood’s score froze at 12 points in 14th place.
The victory hat-trick was scored by Senegalese Sadio Mane in the 29th and 88th minutes, and Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, the team leader (42nd), after Nigerian Goodwin had taken the lead for the visitors first in the sixth minute.
The match started with a modest performance from Al-Nassr, while Al-Akhdoo did not show any reservations and started pressing from the front line, which forced Al-Alamy to commit some mistakes.
The groove advanced through a naive mistake by right back Sultan Al-Ghannam in clearing a cross. A golden opportunity was created for Nigerian Safor Godwin in front of Pinto’s goal, and he did not hesitate to exploit it with a direct shot into the net.
Al-Nasr pressed after the goal in search of an equalizer, and succeeded in scoring against goalkeeper Paulo Victor, but the goal was disallowed in the 15th minute due to the ball crossing the touchline, during a cross by the Brazilian Angelo, as Sadio Mane had followed it into the goal, but the flag was present.< /p>
Al-Nasr succeeded in making the adjustment, as Sultan Al-Ghannam corrected the mistake he made in the Al-Akhdood goal, after he received Otavio’s cross with a direct header into the net, but it fell from goalkeeper Victor and Mane followed it into the net in the 29th minute.
Al-Nasr was not satisfied with a draw, as the search for scoring continued again, and Ronaldo got a chance from a free kick, but he did not shoot and passed inside the penalty area, and his teammates did not benefit from it.
Ronaldo made up for his lost opportunity after his team won a penalty kick for Mane against Jamaican defender Lowe, and the captain successfully scored it into the net, reaching his 60th goal in the Saudi League and his 11th this season.
The second half was less technical for both teams. Although Al-Nasr did not retreat and was satisfied with a one-goal lead, the real threat was absent from the goal of Paulo Victor and Pinto Matthews.
Al-Nasr continued to have the advantage in control and possession, and was offset by Al-Akhdood continuing to rely on counterattacks.
Mane almost scored his second and third personal goal for his team from Abdul Rahman Gharib’s cross in the 69th minute, but the ground split due to Al-Akhdoo’s defense, which cleared the ball at the last moment.
Mane made up for the missed opportunity minutes before the end, specifically in the 88th minute, after he followed up on Sultan Al-Ghannam’s cross to score the net with a third goal and seal the three points for Al-Nasr. Al-Alamy’s hat-tricks also continued against Al-Akhdood after Al-Alamy beat them 3-0 and 3-2 last season.< /p>
