Al Hilal took the lead through a header by Senegalese Kalidou Koulibaly in the 20th minute, before the leader added 3 goals late in the first half through Renan Lodi, Marcos Leonard and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the 39th, 45+6 and 45+9 minutes.
With a powerful ground shot, Leonardo scored his second and fifth personal goal for Al Hilal in the 54th minute, before the young Brazilian player (21 years old) succeeded in scoring the “hat-trick” by adding the sixth goal in the 65th minute.
After Leonardo's sixth goal, Al Hilal became the first team in the history of the Saudi League to score 1,000 goals.
Substitute Abdullah Al Hamdan scored Al Hilal's seventh goal in the 89th minute, before the hosts added two goals in stoppage time through an own goal by Malcolm de Oliveira and Faisal Abdullah.
Hilal achieved a major victory for the second match in a row, after defeating Al-Orouba by five clean goals in the last round.
Al-Zaeem succeeded in equaling its biggest win in the history of the Saudi Professional League when it defeated Al-Hazm with the same score last season.
With this victory, Al-Hilal raised its score to 40 points in first place, 3 points behind runner-up Al-Ittihad, which faces Al-Raed later this evening, Thursday.
