South African club Orlando Pirates snatched a valuable victory over its host Al-Ahly of Egypt, the defending champion, 2-1, on Saturday, in the final sixth round of the third group matches of the group stage.
In the other match in the same group, CS Belouizdad of Algeria defeated its guest, Stade Abidjan of Ivory Coast, with a clean six-point win.
Orlando topped the third group standings with 14 points, 4 points behind runner-up Al-Ahly, knowing that they had both guaranteed qualification to the quarter-finals before the match, while CS Belouizdad finished in third place with 9 points and Abidjan Stadium bottomed the standings with one point.< /p>
At Cairo Stadium, Relebuhele Mofokeng put Orlando ahead with a goal in the 53rd minute, then Hussein El-Shahat equalized for Al-Ahly in the 69th minute, but Tshegofatso Mabasa snatched the winning goal for the visiting team 7 minutes before the end.
In the other match in the group, CS Belouizdad scored 3 goals in each half, ending their African campaign this season with a sweeping victory over Abidjan Stadium.
Abdelrahman Meziane gave the Algerian team the lead in the 17th minute, and ten minutes later Mohamed Belkheir scored the second goal, and Belkheir returned and scored his second goal and the third for the hosts in the 36th minute.

Esperance and Pyramids ended their campaign in the group stage with four victories, a draw and a defeat.
Sagrada came in third place with 5 points, compared to 2 points for Djoliba in last place.
At the Air Defense Stadium, Pyramids paved the way for victory with two early goals scored by Siddiq Oyegola and Marawan Hamdy in the second and tenth minutes.
In the second half, Mostafa Fathi scored the third goal in the 53rd minute, then Ramadan Sobhi scored the fourth goal from a penalty kick in the 60th minute, and six minutes later Abdel Rahman Magdy added the fifth goal, and Youssef Obama scored the sixth goal in the 77th minute.
