Amid a wonderful sporting atmosphere and a distinguished presence, the veterans of the Cairo national team in the Mansoura District were crowned with the first edition of the Martyr Hero Hadar Al-Shouhti Championship in a wonderful conclusion and an exemplary final dominated by the sportsmanship that was present between the two teams that won the honor of playing in the final of the tournament and embodied that sports are morals and the refinement of souls before Collecting the cups, the Cairo players were crowned with the championship after their victory in the final match that brought them together with the Al-Sarari veterans this afternoon at the stadium. (Martyr Hadar Al-Shouhti) Bir Fadl area in Dar Saad District in the capital, Aden, in the Martyr Hadar Al-Shouhti Championship, which was held under the generous sponsorship and support of Brigadier General Nasser Al-Shouhti, Director of Security of Lahj Governorate, with the participation of (16) teams of veterans of clubs, provincial teams, and commercial institutions, which play in a knockout manner. The final match was the conclusion of the wonderful tournament that was held amid strong and exciting competition and great sportsmanship among the participating teams. The final match was exemplary by all standards. The Cairo and Al-Sarari teams had the honor of playing in it, which from its first minutes witnessed a strong competition, and the Al-Sarari team began an attack, as a result of which it received a penalty kick carried out by its player Mohamed Saeed, which was brilliantly blocked by the wonderful goalkeeper Walid Drama, and then Wadah Al-Noun, the Cairo player, got an opportunity after confronting goalkeeper Ivan. Khamis, who blocked the ball, which increased the heat of the match, and there was an attempt by Al-Sarari player Marcel Saleh with an attack that was not successful. On the other hand, Cairo player Niazi Hassan tried but was not lucky, and the attacks between the two teams continued without scratching the other’s net, so the first half of the match ended in a goalless draw between the two teams.
In the second half of the match, in which the pace of play began between the two teams, each of them tried to control the area of operations to reach the other’s net, where Omar Al-Bayti and Anwar Omar were present in the center of Cairo, and in the lead were Wadah Al-Noun and Niazi Hassan, and in the Sarari team were the brothers Niyaz, Marcel Saleh, and Fikri Abd Rabbo. In the lead are Mohamed Saeed and Mohamed Abbas, and Cairo player Khaled Issa was able to seize the opportunity and score the first goal for his team in the 30th minute, which increased the pace of the match. And it heated up, so the attacks continued between the two teams, and each of them tried to score, but they were unable, so the beautiful final ended with the victory of the Cairo veterans with a single goal, winning the Cup of the heroic martyr Hadar Al-Shouhti, may God have mercy on him.
The refereeing team for the final match consisted of Mahmoud Yassin in the arena and on the lines, Ahmed Al-Wahishi and Abdullah Al-Azani, and the match observer, Ali Saleh Ahmed.
At the conclusion of the match, the guests, led by the tournament sponsor, Brigadier General Nasser Al-Shouhti, Director of Lahj Governorate Security, handed over the championship cup with the medal and a financial prize to the captain of the Cairo team, Captain Omar Al-Bayti, and handed over the runner-up cup to the Al-Sarari team to its captain, Karem Al-Sarari. The title of top scorer in the tournament was won by Al-Shora player Muhammad Khamis and awarded to Al-Sarari’s goalkeeper. Ivan Khamis was named the best goalkeeper in the tournament. During the two halves of the match, the teams participating in the tournament were honored with certificates of appreciation, as well as honoring entities, personalities and the media. Which contributed to the success of this wonderful tournament that bore the name of the heroic martyr Hadar Al-Shawhati, may God have mercy on him.
The match was broadcast on the stadium’s internal radio, with the voice of the wonderful commentator Ousan Al-Shaabi and his colleague Mohamed Al-Hawi.
The award for best player in the match was won by Cairo player Khaled Issa, and Captain Omar Al-Barak handed it to him.
The President of Al-Shoula Sports Club, Captain Mohamed Hassan Abu Alaa, honored Brigadier General Nasser Al-Shouhti with the club’s shield during the two halves of the match for his stances in support of youth and athletes.
