FIFA lifted the suspension of Pakistan after basic amendments

The FIFA raised the suspension of the Pakistani Federation for the game, after agreeing to the basic amendments approved by FIFA and the Asian Football Association.
The Pakistani Federation agreed to the amendments, during an emergency general assembly, in Lahore, last Thursday, which led to the fulfillment of the requirements for ending the suspension decided by FIFA last month.
FIFA said, in a statement: “On March 2, 2025, the FIFA office decided to raise the suspension imposed on the Pakistani Federation, on February 6, 2025.”
FIFA suspended the Pakistani Federation for the game in 2017 and 2021 due to a third -party intervention. The last arrest was raised in June 2022, after one of the Pakistani Federation committees announced that it had regained full control of the union's headquarters and its financial resources.
The Pakistani Federation wrote, on its account on the X platform: “We thank FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation for their continuous support for Pakistani football, and we offer our heartfelt congratulations to the football community in the country.”
