Argentine national team coach Lionel Scaloni said last night that his team captain Lionel Messi will be ready to participate in his country's two matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Brazil despite not participating in many matches recently.
The American team Inter Miami, for which Messi plays, was eliminated from the American League of Popular Football before the playoffs, while Messi has been absent from the field for nearly a month now.
Scaloni said in a press conference last night, "Messi is fine and in good condition, even though he played only one match in the last 25 days. He is training normally. He is fully fit and in good condition."
