The Yemen national football team defeated its host Nepal national team 2-0 during the match that brought them together today, Tuesday, in the second round of the eighth group competitions in the joint Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and 2027 Asian Cup finals.
The two brothers, Omar Al-Dahhi and Muhammad Al-Dahhi, scored the goals for Yemen in the 72nd and final minutes of the match.
The Yemeni team won its first three points, with the same score, while the Nepal team remained without a score at the bottom of the standings.
Within the same group, the UAE team faces its Bahraini counterpart today, each with 3 points.
Although the match was held in Nepal Stadium, the Yemeni team dominated the match and was able to reach the goal of the hosts.
The Yemeni national team will play its next qualifying match against the UAE national team on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
