The Aden Clubs Boxing Championship for the junior category was opened this Saturday afternoon at the Shamsan Sports Club Circuit in Al-Mualla District, which comes within the activities of the Aden Sports Festival “4”, which is held under the slogan of Aden, City of Sports and Peace, under the patronage of Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi, Secretary-General of the Southern Transitional Council, and organized by The Youth and Sports Department and the supervision of the Boxing Federation branch in the capital, Aden, which takes place between 1 and 4 December.

The championship bouts began at the opening of the first day with the participation of the Shamsan and Al-Jalaa clubs

Al-Tilal, Al-Mina, Aden Unit, Al-Nasr, Al-Jazeera, and Al-Mansoura, who competed in the junior category in different weights (46, 48, 51, 54, 57 kg) by holding 12 fights that witnessed excitement, suspense, and strength. The results of the fights were as follows:

1- Aden Unit player (Mohsen Shafi’) won over Al-Jalaa player (Omar Jamal)

2- Shamsan player (Hussein Nofal) won over Al-Tilal player (Abdulrahman Wahib)

3- The victory of the Al-Minaa player (Al-Minaa) over the Al-Mansoura player (Abdul Rahman Shehab)

1- Mansoura player (Musab Khaled) won over Al Jazeera player (Aboud Abdo) 

(51 kg category)

1- Al-Tilal player (Uday Mutee) won over Al-Nasr player (Sufyan Fahd)

2- The victory of the Shamsan player (Ahmed Al-Aqrabi) over the Al-Jalaa player (Mohamed Salem)

(54 kg category)

1- Al-Tilal player (Ahmed Muhammad) won over Al-Nasr player (Raafat Muhammad)

2- Al-Jalaa player (Taher Shawqi) won over Al-Jazira player (Abdul Rahman Mahmoud)

3- The victory of the Shamsan player (Mohamed Al-Aqrabi) over the Mansoura player (Al-Khattab Saleh)

1- The victory of the Al-Minaa player (Mohammed Saghir) over the Aden Unit player (Ahmed Mujahid)

2- Mansoura player (Mohamed Saleh) won over Al-Galaa team player (Ahmed Mazen)

3- The victory of the Shamsan player (Qasim Ali) over the Al-Nasr team player (Mohamed Ahmed) 

The following contributed to directing the fights: Fahim Hassan Saif, Anwar Muhammad Saif, Nabil Al-Awdali, Arafat Shamshir, Akram Badr, Yazan Nasr, international referee Bassam Ahmed Al-Sa’a, and the head of the Al-Jarwi Committee, Jamil Hammadi.

The championship competitions for the semi-finals will continue tomorrow afternoon, with twenty matches being held at the Shamsan Sports Club Arena

It remains to point out that the boxing championship for Aden clubs for juniors is held within the Aden Sports Festival for sports games, which coincides with our people’s celebrations of the southern holidays of October and November, and is co-organized by the branches of sports federations in the capital, Aden, and takes place during the period between November 20 - December 4 next.
