Shamsan boxers were crowned champions at the conclusion of the Aden Club Championship competitions for the junior category, which comes within the activities of the Aden Sports Festival “4”, which is held under the slogan Aden, City of Sports and Peace, under the patronage of Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi, Secretary General of the Southern Transitional Council, organized by the Department of Youth and Sports, and under the supervision of the Union Branch. Boxing in the capital, Aden, which was held from December 1 to 4.

Shamsan, Al-Jalaa, Al-Tilal, Al-Mina, Aden Unit, Al-Nasr, Al-Jazeera and Al-Mansoura clubs participated in the championship competitions, competing in the weight categories (46, 48, 51, 54, 57 kg) and it was held at the Shamsan Club circuit in Al-Mualla District.

On the final day of the tournament, which witnessed the presence of Moamen Al-Saqqaf, a member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, the exciting and strong fights took place, and at its conclusion, the results were as follows:

In the 46weight category, the Shamsan player (Hussein Nofal) won over the Aden Unit player (Mohsen Shafi’)

In the 48weight division, the Shamsan player (Osan Yassin) defeated the Al-Minaa player (Fahmi Abdullah) 

In the 51-weight division, the Al-Minaa player (Karim Faisal) won over the Al-Tilal player (Uday Moti’)

In the 54weight category, Shamsan (Mohamed Al-Aqrabi) won 

In the 57weight category, the Shamsan player (Qasim Ali) won over the Al-Minaa player (Mohammed Saghir)

At the end of the competitions, Shamsan won first place with 9 points, while Al-Mina Club came in second place with 7 points, and Al-Tilal Club came in third place with 6 points.

At the end of the tournament, the first three place holders were honored. The Shamsan team was honored with a first-place cup and medals, Al-Minaa team was honored with second-place medals and a cup, and the Al-Tilal team was honored with third-place medals and a cup, amid a wonderful crowd atmosphere.

The event was attended by Mohammed Hassan, Vice President of the General Basketball Federation, Abdul Rahim Al-Jawi, President of the Shamsan Sports Club, Jamil Maqtari, Secretary-General of the Shamsan Club, a number of members of the festival committee, and a number of sports and social figures.
