The Saudi national team suffered a new blow at the beginning of its journey under Italian coach Roberto Mancini, as it suffered its second loss in a row.

The Saudi “Green” team lost in a friendly match to South Korea, this evening, Tuesday, with an unanswered goal, at the “St. James Park” stadium in the English capital, “London.”

The only goal of the match was scored by Cho Kyu-seong just 32 minutes into the match, as Saudi Arabia failed to respond until the end.

This is the second loss for the Saudi national team under the leadership of Mancini, after losing to Costa Rica, also in a friendly match, with a score of 1-3.

The Saudi national team is playing a group of friendly matches, in preparation for the 2023 Asian Cup competitions early next year.

The match witnessed the exit of defender Hassan Timbukti injured about a quarter of an hour before the end of normal time.
