Brazilian Fluminense aborted Egyptian Al-Ahly's dream of reaching the Club World Cup final for the first time in its history after defeating them 2-0, on Monday, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The Brazilian team opened the score with a penalty kick earned by veteran Marcelo and scored by John Arias in the 70th minute. John Kennedy doubled the lead in the 90th minute.
With its qualification to the final, Fluminense awaits the winner of the match between Manchester City of England and Urawa Red Diamonds of Japan, which will be held on Tuesday.
