Al-Ittihad suffered a new defeat that complicated its position in the current edition of the Saudi Professional League, “Roshan League.”
Al-Ittihad lost to Al-Raed (1-3) on Saturday evening, in the 18th round of the Saudi League.
This is Al-Ittihad’s second consecutive defeat in the Saudi League, after losing in the last match (1-3) to Damak, which is the fifth loss in total for the defending champion.

Al-Ittihad played with 10 players, after Mad Allah Al-Olayan was sent off in the 12th minute.
Al-Raed took the lead through Karim Al-Barkawi in the 22nd minute of the match that was held at King Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium.
Al-Ittihad equalized after only 3 minutes with a goal by Romarinho, then Al-Barkawi scored a second goal for himself and his team in the 72nd minute.
In the 90th minute, Mohammed Al-Dosari added the third goal for the visitors.
With this, Al-Ittihad’s balance stopped at 28 points, occupying sixth place in the Saudi League standings.
While Al-Raed’s score rose to 16 points, ranking 15th.
