The Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo won the Best Player in the Middle East award at the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards presented by the Dubai Sports Council, while the Norwegian Erling Haaland won the Best Player in the World award.

The official account of the Dubai Globe Soccer Award on the “X” platform published that Ronaldo won the award for the best player in the Middle East.

The official award account said: “Congratulations to Cristiano Ronaldo on winning the 2023 Globe Soccer Award for Best Player in the Middle East.”

Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned with 3 awards at the Globe Soccer ceremony. He won the Best Player in the Middle East award, the best scorer in 2023, and the third award is the best player according to the audience’s vote.

Ronaldo expressed his great happiness after winning three awards at the “Dubai Globe Soccer” ceremony.

Ronaldo also expressed his great happiness at making the decision to play in the Saudi League with Al-Nasr Club.

He said on the sidelines of the ceremony: “The decision to move to Al-Nasr Saudi Club is the best decision I have made in my life.”

He added: “I am very happy with the victory and in my life in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

Ronaldo also praised the Rushen League championship, saying: “The Saudi League is not worse than the French League. The Saudi Professional League is more competitive than the French League.”

He continued: “I can say that after one year I spent there, we are already better than the French League now.”

Haaland is the best in the world

On the global level, Norwegian Erling Haaland, Manchester City striker, won the World Player of the Year award for 2023, at the Globe Soccer Awards.

Haaland outperformed his competitors for the award, the most prominent of whom were Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, and finally Lionel Messi, the American Inter Miami player.

Spaniard Pep Guardiola, coach of Manchester City, was also awarded the Best Coach in the World Award for 2023 by Globe Soccer.

At the club level, England's Manchester City won the Best Club award in 2023, while the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club won the Best Club in the Middle East award.

Khaldoon Al Mubarak, President of Manchester City, won the Globe Soccer Award for Best Club President in 2023.

Englishman Good Bellingham was crowned the best young player award in 2023, in light of the distinguished performances he made in his first season with Real Madrid.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, Lionel Scaloni, coach of the Argentine national team, was honored for his coaching career.
