Towards facing Jordan... South Korean drama eliminates Australia from the Asian Cup

The South Korean national team continued its journey in the final moments of the 2023 Asian Cup, by defeating Australia, on Friday evening.
The "Korean Samson" won over Australia, 2-1, in the quarter-finals of the Asian Championship held in Qatar for the third time in history.
With this result, the Korean team qualified for the semi-finals against Jordan, next Tuesday evening, February 6, 2024.

Craig Godwin opened the scoring for Australia in the 42nd minute of the first half with a wonderful shot inside the penalty area.
In the sixth minute of stoppage time, Hwang Hee Chan scored the equalizer for South Korea from a penalty kick.
Son Heung-min, captain of the Korean national team and Tottenham Hotspur star, succeeded in scoring the second goal in the 104th minute of the first extra period.
This was not the first time that the Korean team succeeded in scoring in the last moments, as it had previously done so in the last 3 matches against Jordan, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.
