Arsenal defeated its guest Liverpool 3-1 on Sunday, at the Emirates Stadium, in the 23rd round of the English Premier League.

The Gunners' hat-trick came from Bukayo Saka, Martinelli and Trossard in the 14th, 67th and 90th + 2 minutes.

While Gabriel Magalhaes scored Liverpool's own goal by mistake (45+3).

The victory raised Arsenal’s tally to 49 points, making them runner-up, reducing the gap with the Reds, the leaders, to only two points.

Vacant spaces appeared in the Reds' back line from the beginning, and Arsenal almost exploited them with an early goal from Martinelli's run on the left side, which he ended with a perfect cross towards Saka, whose head the ball touched.

Trossard fired the coup de grâce at the visitors by scoring the third goal after a start from the left side, after which he penetrated into the penalty area before putting the ball between Alisson’s feet.
