Real Madrid announces the death of its “legendary” goalkeeper Gonzalez

Real Madrid, the leader of the Spanish Football League, announced on Tuesday the death of its former goalkeeper, Miguel Angel Gonzalez, at the age of 76.
The Royal Club said in a statement: “Real Madrid, its president and its board of directors sadly mourn the death of Miguel Ángel González, one of the great goalkeepers in our history, a legend at Real Madrid and in Spanish football.”
Spanish media reported that Gonzalez was suffering from the neurodegenerative disease known as "ALS."
Gonzalez played with Real Madrid between 1968 and 1986, and played 346 matches in its ranks, winning eight league titles and two European Union Cups out of 16 titles.
Internationally, the goalkeeper, who assumed various responsibilities at Real Madrid after retirement, participated with the Spanish national team in the 1978 and 1982 World Cup finals.
