Paris Saint-Germain confirmed the departure of its star, Kylian Mbappe, after the end of the current 2023-2024 season.
Sport newspaper reported that Paris issued an official statement announcing Mbappe’s departure, and it was sent to several media outlets.
The Paris statement said, “The club confirms that Kylian informed us of his decision to leave Paris at the end of the 2024 season, and the terms of his departure have not yet been fully agreed upon.”
Mbappe's contract with the Parisian team expires on June 30, amid speculation that the player could move to Real Madrid for free in the summer of 2024.
Over the past months, Paris tried to persuade Mbappé to renew in exchange for huge financial benefits, but the French player withstood the tempting offers and decided to leave for free next summer.
