Al-Hilal Saudi Arabia overcomes Sepahan and meets Al-Ittihad in the Asian Champions League quarter-finals

Al-Hilal Saudi Arabia set a date with its rival Al-Ittihad in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League after coming back from a goal behind at home to win 3-1 against Sepahan of Iran in the second leg of the round of 16 today, Thursday.
Al Hilal, the runner-up of the last edition, confirmed its superiority over the Iranian team after winning the first leg with the same score.
Sepahan striker Farshad Ahmadzadeh scored his team's only goal 9 minutes after the end of the break, after putting the ball past Al Hilal goalkeeper Yassine Bounou from close range.
But Salem Al-Dosari celebrated his 400th match with Al-Hilal by scoring the equalizing goal in the 76th minute after he received the ball on the edge of the area, dribbled past a defender, and advanced to shoot brilliantly into the net with his right foot.
Al-Dosari almost scored the second goal in the 82nd minute with a shot from inside the area that the defense cleared, so the ball reached Ruben Neves, and the Portuguese secured the goal with a stunning shot from outside the penalty area, which Sepahan goalkeeper Payam Niazmand was unable to deal with.
Serbian Aleksandar Mitrovic concluded the match by scoring the third goal in the sixth minute of stoppage time with a shot from close range.
Al-Ittihad qualified for the quarter-finals earlier today with a 2-1 victory over Uzbekistan's Navbakhor in the second leg, after the first leg ended in a scoreless draw
