Al-Ettifaq was able to threaten Al-Hilal’s goal for the first time in the 27th minute, when Salman Al-Faraj, Al-Zaeem’s captain, sent a wrong pass to reach Ivorian Sekou Fofana, who passed the ball directly to Moussa Dembélé, but Coulibaly prevented him from scoring in the last moments.
After a long period of possession, Al Hilal was able to score the first goal through Savic with a distinctive header in the 39th minute, after receiving a wonderful cross from a corner kick.

Savic fired a perfect shot in the 62nd minute, which hit the right post after a special pass from Malcolm.
Al-Hilal repeatedly tried to cross Al-Ettifaq’s defenses by sending many crosses, whether through Malcolm or Salem, but the hosts succeeded in extracting all the balls.
In the 81st and 83rd minutes, Al-Ettifaq succeeded in threatening Al-Hilal’s goal through two dangerous attacks, as Carol Ekambi fired a powerful shot that came near the left post, then Georginio Wijnaldum failed to translate a distinctive cross from the left side.
