Al-Ahly fell into a draw against its guest Al-Fateh (1-1), this evening, Saturday, in the 22nd round of the Roshan Saudi Professional League.
Al-Fateh scored the first goal of the match, in the 45th minute + 8th, through its player Christian Theo, and Al-Ahly equalized in the 76th minute, through its player Saint-Maximan.
With this result, Al-Ahly’s score became 44 points in third place, while Al-Fateh raised its score to 31 points, in seventh place.
The match started strong on the part of the Al-Ahly team, and Maximian fired a strong shot from the left of the penalty area, but it passed near the goal.
In the 14th minute, the match referee issued a red card to Al-Ahly player, Brazilian Roger Ibañez, after he received the second yellow card.
Despite the lack of numbers, Al-Ahly tried to score the lead goal, and in the 34th minute, Franck Kessieh fired a powerful shot from inside the penalty area, but the goalkeeper successfully blocked it.
On the other hand, Al-Fateh succeeded in scoring against its opponent in the 45th minute + 9, through Christian Thilo, who dribbled one of the defenders, and fired a missile from outside the penalty area.
Al-Ahly missed scoring in the first half, for the seventh time during its career in the current edition (2023-2024) of the Roshen League.
In the 65th minute, the match referee merely showed the yellow card to Kessieh, after a strong intervention against one of the Al-Fateh players.
The referee decided not to give the Ivorian player the red card, after referring to video technology.
In the 76th minute, the Al-Ahly team equalized (1-1) through Saint-Maximan, after he penetrated Al-Fateh’s defense and shot a powerful missile from inside the penalty area.
The match referee canceled a second Al-Fateh goal, due to offside, in the 79th minute.
Al-Fateh completed the match, starting from the 89th minute, with 10 players, after the player Saeed Battiya was sent off, after receiving a second warning, before the match ended
The match was tied in a draw (1-1).
