The Referees Committee of the Asian Football Confederation announced that an Iraqi refereeing team will lead the match between Yemen and the Emirates in the double qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Nations Cup.
The refereeing team consists of Muhannad Qasim as referee, assisted by Wathiq Mudalal and Ahmed. Sabah, while Youssef Saeed will be the fourth referee.
The match will be held in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, on March 21.
The Yemeni national team is preparing to participate in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup, within the eighth group competitions, which includes The teams of the Emirates, Bahrain, and Nepal.
The Yemeni team continues its internal preparatory camp in Sanaa under the leadership of Algerian coach Noureddine Ould Ali, and his assistant Qais Muhammad Saleh.
The external camp of the Yemeni team will be held in Saudi Arabia next week, which is the last stop for preparation. Before facing the UAE national team on March 21 and 26 in Abu Dhabi and then the Saudi city of Al-Khobar, in order.
