Ibrahim Diaz has joined the Moroccan national football team, which is preparing to face Angola and Mauritania in a friendly match this March.

The Real Madrid player (24 years old) chose to play for the Moroccan national team after playing a friendly match with Spain in 2021.

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) decided to change Diaz's sporting nationality, based on his request.

The former Manchester City and Milan player previously wore the Spain shirt in the various stages of the youth national teams.

Morocco, which became the first African team to reach the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup, will play against Angola on March 22, four days before playing against Mauritania.
