Al-Shoula team began the journey to defend its title with a wide victory, scoring four goals without a response against its rival, Al-Fajr Al-Jadeed team, Abyan, in the match that was held at the Martyr Al-Hubaishi Stadium within the twenty-eighth edition of the late Ali Mohsen Al-Marisi Ramadan Football Championship, which is organized by the Football Association in Aden. Under the patronage of the Minister of State, Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, and the Transitional Council of the capital, Aden, with the support of the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank, CAC Bank, and under the supervision of the Department of Youth and Sports in the Transitional Council and the Youth and Sports Office in the capital, Aden.
With this victory, Al-Shoula team reserves its place in the second round, setting up a match against Shabab Markha team from Shabwa Governorate, while Al-Fajr Al-Jadeed team, Abyan, bid farewell to the championship competitions in its first round with a loss.
Al-Shaalawi controlled the course of the first half, and that advantage was crowned by a score of two goals to none, as Al-Shaalawiyin opened the result with a friendly fire goal (reverse), after the Al-Fajr Al-Jadeed defender failed to clear a joint ball with striker Mohamed Sanad to announce the first goals, and before the end of the half. The first is that striker Mohamed Sanad strengthens his team’s lead and advantage by scoring a second goal, ending the first period with two clean goals.
The Yellow Tide continued in the second half, when Manaf Saeed returned to score a third goal for his team, so Salah Radwan complicated the task of the new Al-Fajr team by adding a fourth goal in the match, and it was only minutes until Al-Shoula got a penalty kick that was missed by the player Mohamed Sanad, and witnessed the brilliance of the Al-Fajr goalkeeper.
