Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, has booked a place on the list of the highest-paid players among the five major league clubs in Europe.
Kylian Mbappe, who has a contract with Paris Saint-Germain until the end of the season, tops the list of highest-paid players in Europe, according to what was monitored by the English newspaper “The Sun”.
The newspaper added that Mbappe receives a salary estimated at approximately 5.15 million pounds sterling per month, equivalent to 61.8 million pounds sterling annually.
Mbappe is twice as much as what his closest successor earns, with Harry Kane, the Bayern Munich striker, coming in second place with a salary of 1.8 million pounds sterling.
Harry Kane is closely followed by Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne (£1.73 million) and Erling Haaland (£1.63 million), although Haaland's salary rises to about £3.4 million with bonuses.
Behind these four stars, a surprise player from Real Madrid occupies fifth place, which is David Alaba, the defender of the Royal team, as he earns 1.61 million pounds sterling, followed by Robert Lewandowski, the Barcelona striker, in sixth place with a salary of 1.60 million pounds.
As for Mohamed Salah, he comes in seventh place, as he receives a monthly salary of up to 1.52 million pounds sterling under his contract with Liverpool, which extends until the summer of 2025, and he is on par with Manchester United midfielder Casemiro.
Another Manchester United player, Raphael Varane, occupies ninth place with a salary of 1.48 million pounds.
While 4 players from the Spanish League share tenth place on the list with a salary of 1.43 million pounds sterling, they are Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham, the Real Madrid duo, Ilkay Gundogan, the Barcelona midfielder, and Jan Oblak, the Atletico Madrid goalkeeper.
