The table tennis and chess tournaments for the units of the Fourth Region, which were organized by the Military Sports Department under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Muhammad Al-Daari, in which the following units participated: Logistics and Supply, 120th Air Defense Brigade, Military Police, Medical Services, Al-Thalaya Institute, Fourth Region, under the supervision of a tournament committee headed by Colonel Muhammad Ali Al-Habashi and the membership of Colonel Ahmed Nabil Qaed and Captain Qaiser Mashdali. Over two weeks, the participating teams competed, and the final results in the table tennis competition resulted in a team victory. Supply won the championship, while the region’s command team came in second place, and the military police team came in third.

In the chess game, the 120th Air Defense Brigade team achieved first place, while the region command team came in second place, and the supply team came in second place.

* The Military Sports Department honored Major General Abdul-Hakim Musa Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Minister of Defense, with a commemorative shield for his efforts in supporting military sports activities.

* Great efforts were made by the committees supervising the tournament’s tennis competitions, namely Hussein Abdullah Ibrahim, Adeeb Abdul Karim, and in chess, Amjad Fahmy and Haji Muhammad.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the champions were honored with cups and financial prizes, as well as honoring the personnel supervising the tournament competitions.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Director of the Office of the Minister of Defense, Major General Abdul Hakim Musa Al Shuaibi, the Director of the Military Sports Department, Brigadier General Muhammad Jabal, the President of the Aden Chess Federation, Mr. Ramzi Muhammad Qasim, the Secretary General of Chess in Aden, Mr. Amjad Fahmi, the Secretary General of the Shamsan Club, Captain Jamil Maqtari, Director of the Youth and Sports Office in Al-Mualla Directorate, Captain Qaiser Mashdali, the well-known tennis coach, Captain Lotfi Chamakh, a number of military sports activities officers, social and sports figures, and a number of sports followers.

* The Military Sports Department, represented by the Director General, Brigadier General Muhammad Jabal, extends their sincere thanks and appreciation to the leadership of the Shamsan Sports Club for their cooperation in making military sports activities a success and harnessing the club’s potential to serve military sports.
