Liverpool's slim hopes of winning the English Premier League title were dashed on Saturday after a late header from Michail Antonio earned West Ham United a deserved 2-2 draw.
Liverpool, which lost 2-0 to Everton in the Merseyside derby last Wednesday, conceded first again through Jarrod Bowen before the break, his 20th goal of the season in his 200th match with West Ham.
Liverpool equalized three minutes after the start of the second half through Andy Robertson, before goalkeeper Alphonse Areola scored an own goal in the 65th minute.
But Antonio ensured the hosts' exit with a point when he met Bowen's cross with a powerful header in the 77th minute.
Liverpool remains in third place with 75 points, one point behind second-placed Manchester City, which has played two fewer matches, and two points behind first-placed Arsenal, which has a game in hand and is superior on goal difference.
West Ham remained in eighth place with 49 points.
