His Excellency the Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayef Saleh Al-Bakri, held an extraordinary meeting today, Tuesday, with the ministerial committee assigned by him, to resolve the existing problem between the clubs of Aden Governorate and the General Football Association.
During the meeting held at the Ministry’s General Office, Al-Bakri praised “the efforts made by the committee during the past period and its keenness to sit, listen, and communicate with more than one party to come up with the best results and contribute to the return of water to its courses and preserve the rights of each party.”
He added, “It is important that we all strive to solve the problem and not come to an agreement, calling on everyone to rise above differences and provide what is in the interest of clubs and sports in the country in general, pointing out the importance of adhering to regulations and laws and not shielding yourself behind opinions and ideas that distance rather than bring us closer.” It fuels the flames of disagreements and does not help extinguish them.”
He explained, “The Ministry was not immune to all the events and did not remain silent about the problem, as it intended from the first moment of its launch to bridge the gap of disagreement, based on its national and moral responsibilities and to discuss the problem with more than one party. It also formed a special committee that includes the best Sports and legal figures in Aden to resolve the issue, without conflicting with the regulations and laws that everyone must adhere to and abide by.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Azzam Khalifa, the most important work and steps taken by his committee during the past period, and pictures of communication with many parties and proposals that can be worked on during the coming period after sitting with the General Football Association and hearing his point of view regarding the existing problem.
Khalifa presented a detailed report to His Excellency the Minister, including some of what the committee has reached so far. The names that will leave for the Egyptian capital, Cairo, were also named to meet with the President of the General Football Association, Sheikh Ahmed Saleh Al-Issa, to sit with him and hear his point of view, to develop the latest solutions and treatments. For her, calling on everyone to show good intentions to get out of this crisis, which has affected clubs in Aden and the nation’s sports in general.
The meeting was attended by the Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Abdul Hamid Al-Saidi, the Director General of the Minister’s Office, Haneen Jamal, the Director General of the General Administration, the General Administration of Information, Shukri Hussein, and the Director of the National Teams Department in the Sports Sector, Alaa Ahmed Al-Sasi.
