The media is always chasing Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe about his imminent move to Real Madrid.
Mbappe was asked after PSG's exit from the Champions League at the hands of Borussia Dortmund about his support for Real Madrid against Bayern Munich this evening, Wednesday, in the semi-finals of the continental competition.
But Kylian turned his eyes away from the media reporters at the Princes Park stadium, after the loss (1-0) and turned his back to leave without giving an answer.
Many press reports indicated that Mbappe will move to Real Madrid on a free transfer, next summer.
Before that, the Parisian star said, “I tried to help my team as best I could, but that was not enough.”
Mbappe criticized himself, saying, “I am the one who must be decisive, and when I succeed, the spotlight shines on me, and when I do not succeed, I must be the subject of criticism.”
He continued, "I accept that. This is life, and we have to get through this match, whether I or the team, and we are disappointed, of course, because we wanted to qualify for the final."
He pointed out, “In the Champions League, you have to be effective on both the defensive and offensive levels, and at this point Dortmund was better than us.”
Mbappe added, “But we showed during this season that we are capable of going far.”
When asked whether this will be your last match in the Champions League in a Paris shirt, Kylian replied, “It will certainly be the last this season, because unfortunately we lacked effectiveness in the two matches.”
Mbappe denied that the reason for exiting the Champions League was overconfidence, saying, “If we do not convince ourselves that we are capable of winning, who will do that for us? No one.”
He concluded his statements, “The group was calm as it has been since the beginning of the season, and we should not neglect everything we have achieved. There are still goals. We will continue working and trying to win them.”
