The penalty shootout decided the qualification ticket in favor of the Al-Samasim team, after it overtook the Al-Bangsar team in the match that was held for the first round in the eighth edition of the Khormaksar Martyrs League Championship for popular teams, which is organized by the youth of the directorate under the auspices of Mr. Arif Al-Shaabi, Director General of Aden Ports Development (Port containers).
The Al-Samasim team was able to reserve its place in the second round of the tournament after defeating its rival, the Al-Bangsar Al-Tawahi team, on penalties after the two halves of the match ended in a positive draw with one goal for each, setting up a date to meet the Al-Kafan team, which prevailed against the Al-Samoud team in the match last night.
p>The details of the match were not devoid of excitement and suspense, and its minutes witnessed a strong level and performance from both sides, which resulted in two goals being scored equally in the nets of the two teams, where the goal of Al-Sammasim was scored by Saleh Qasim, while the goal of the Al-Bangsar team was scored by Al-Tawahi Ali Alwi.
The match was moderated by referee Yasser Al Marzouki and monitored by Asim Ramzi.
The goalkeeper of the Al-Samasim team, Saleh Salem, won the award for the best player in the match, and he received his award from Captain Ahmed Al-Sahem.
The first round matches of the tournament will continue on Saturday with a match between the Enmaa and Al-Ahmadi teams.
