The Austrian national team achieved a thrilling qualification to the eighth final of the European Nations Cup "Euro 2024" after its great victory over the Netherlands in the third group round.

Austria defeated the Netherlands 3-2 at the end of the fourth group matches, grabbing 3 valuable points, raising its score to 6 points in the lead, with a difference of one point against France.

The French and Dutch teams entered the third round and were guaranteed to qualify at least among the best three, benefiting from the results of the first and second groups.

The Austrian national team thus joined the list of teams qualified for the round of 16 in Euro 2024 so far, which includes Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and France.

France is in second place

In another match, Poland, which was the first to deposit in the tournament, imposed a draw on its French counterpart, depriving it of topping the group.

The Roosters raised their score to 5 points, in second place in Group Four, one point ahead of the Netherlands, which secured qualification among the best three.

Round of 16 matches in Euro 2024

The Austrian national team will thus meet the runner-up of Group F, which includes Portugal, which secured the lead, Turkey, the Czech Republic, and Georgia.

While France faces the runner-up in Group E, in which 4 teams are equal on 3 points: Romania, Belgium, Slovakia, and Ukraine.

The Netherlands national team will face either Spain, the winner of Group Two, the winner of Group Five, which has not yet been determined, or the winner of Group Three, which includes England, Denmark, Slovenia, and Serbia.
