The Hadhramaut Cup Championship will resume its eighth edition football competitions the day after tomorrow, Friday, July 5th, under the direct sponsorship and supervision of the Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, and the organization of the main committee of the tournament, and with the participation of the media sponsor, Al-Amqi and Ikhona Exchange Company.
The rotation of the tournament wheel comes after a hiatus that lasted nearly five weeks, specifically since the end of the group stage and 16 clubs reaching the second stage in the number of final stages (the round of 16).
This stage witnesses the participation of 16 clubs, which are the clubs that qualified from the first stage of the finals (group stage), in which the 32 clubs were divided into 8 groups, in which 48 matches were held, and the first and second from each group qualified in the standings of the eight groups after the end of the competitions that were held. With a single-round league system, the club teams played each group among themselves and hosted them during the period from April 26 to May 25, 2024. The stadiums of Al-Shahith in Al-Shihr, the Shabab Rokab Club, the Olympic Club in Sayun, and Al-Barq Club in Trim were joined in the last matches by the Paradem Stadium in Al-Mukalla after its rehabilitation.
The 16 quarter-final clubs will compete in a home-and-away format during the period from 5 to 26 July 2024 at the Late Baradem Stadium in Mukalla and the Olympic Stadium in Sayun, with eight home-and-away matches.
The semi-finals (quarter-finals) will be reached by the teams that win the aggregate of the two matches in their matches.
The matches in the first leg of the quarter-finals will begin with two meetings on the afternoon of Friday, July 5, in Al-Mukalla and Sayun. At the late Baradem Stadium in Al-Mukalla, Barq Tarim will host Barq Tarim, and at the Olympic Stadium in Sayun, Al-Mukalla will be the guest of Salam Al-Chahra.
The police and lightning will face off again at the Olympic Games on July 18, 2024, and on the same day they will face off again at the Al-Mukalla and Salam Al-Gharafa Parade.

It is noteworthy that the record of the Hadramaut Football Cup recorded that Tadamon Hadhramaut Club won three championships, the first in 2009 after its victory in the final, which was held at Goas Stadium in Sayun, over Doan. The second edition for the Blue Club was in the year 2014, which is the fourth edition, and Tadamon won in the final over Shabab Al-Cotton at Jawas Stadium in Sayun, while the third edition of Al-Tadamon was crowned at Baradem Stadium in Mukalla in the final of the sixth edition in which it won over Samoun. The Hadhramaut People’s Club won the title twice, the first in the third edition 2012-2013 by defeating Shabab Rokab in the final, which is the final. The only one that was held in the evening under the floodlights of Paradem Stadium among the past seven editions. The second edition in 2011 was crowned by Al-Ahly Club Baghil Bawazir after its victory over Doan in the final, which was hosted by the late Abdullah Mubarak Sorour Stadium in the Al-Tadamon Club facility in Mukalla, and the previous edition (the seventh 2023) was crowned. Ittifaq Al-Houta Club after its victory over Al-Shaab in a final hosted by the Olympic Stadium in Sayun.
