The Qarun Al-Arish team snatched the ticket to the quarter-finals in the Khormaksar Martyrs League Championship for popular teams in its eighth edition, after it deservedly and well-deservedly surpassed its rival, the Al-Rashid team, with two goals free of charge in the match that was held this afternoon at the Doctors’ Neighborhood Stadium within the scope of the final round of the tournament. The players of the Qarun Al-Arish team scored two goals that were enough to advance the team and grant it an attendance card and continue its journey in the tournament by reaching the quarter-finals, setting a date with the winner of tomorrow’s match, Sunday, which brings together the Al-Kafan and Al-Samasim teams in the same round of 16 finals.
The course of the match, which was held at the Al-Tabeeb neighborhood stadium, host of the championship matches, witnessed the superiority of the Qarun Al-Arish team, which culminated in scoring two goals against the Al-Rasheed team, and it came at the feet of the team’s players Amjad Mansour and Mazen Al-Akshi, through which they gained the advantage and superiority in the match.
The star of the Qarun Al-Arish team, Mazen Al-Akshi, won the award for best player in the match. He received his award from Captain Ahmed Awad Al-Masoudi, Director General of the Sports City at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The day after tomorrow, Sunday, July 7, the Al-Kafan and Al-Samasim teams will meet in the framework of the tournament’s quarter-final matches.
