Al-Ittihad continued its negative results with a draw with Al-Taawoun (1-1), this evening, Friday, at King Abdullah City Stadium in Buraidah, as part of the tenth round of the Roshan Saudi Professional League.

Al-Ittihad had faltered in the last two rounds of the league, as it tied 0-0 with Al-Fayhaa, before being defeated by its rival Al-Ahly (1-0).

Karim Benzema scored Al-Ittihad's goal today in the 22nd minute, but he scored an own goal against his own team only 4 minutes later.

Al-Taawoun’s balance rose to 23 points, in second place on goal difference from leaders Al-Hilal, while Al-Ittihad’s balance reached 20 points, temporarily in third place.

In its third attempt, Al-Ittihad was able to open the scoring, after Cornado's cross crossed Benzema's header, so that the French star scored the lead goal for the dean.

From a corner kick, Al-Taawoun equalized with an own goal from Benzema in the 26th minute.
