Today, Tuesday, the Minister of State and Governor of Aden Governorate, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Al-Malis, inaugurated the rehabilitation project of Arwa Cinema in the Sira District in the capital, Aden.
The project is funded by the European Union and the Social Fund for Development through Heritage and Culture in Yemen in partnership with UNESCO and the initiative and coordination of the Gulf of Aden Theater Troupe, and a consultant implementation of the project by Engineer Hiyam Haidara Saleh Musabi.
The inauguration was attended by the ambassadors of the European Union, UNESCO, the Social Fund for Development, the Director of the Sira District, Dr. Mahmoud Jaradi, the Director of the Crater Police, the Director of the Works Office of the Sira District, media professionals, activists, and social figures who are undertaking the rehabilitation of the historic landmark, Arwa Cinema, and everything related to the culture of the Sira District, with all their efforts.
p>The rehabilitation project of Arwa Cinema and cultural projects in Aden is one of the pillars that will restore the city of Aden to its position as a center for cultural and intellectual radiance in the region, and play its natural role in promoting community awareness and coexistence between different cultures.
It will also contribute to meeting the public’s passion for art and creativity in all its cultural, artistic and literary fields, reducing the culture of hatred and spreading the culture of peace, coexistence and construction.
