A state of sadness prevailed in Egyptian artistic circles, after the announcement of the death of the artist Mostafa Fahmy, following a health illness 3 months ago.
Fahmy had suffered a health problem, as a result of which he was admitted to the hospital and had a delicate brain operation. After checking on him, he recently left a hospital in the Sheikh Zayed area after undergoing the operation, and then continued his treatment at his home.
Fahmy studied at the Higher Institute of Cinema in Cairo and obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the Cinema Institute, Department of Photography. He began his artistic career as a camera assistant in the movie “The Princess of My Love, Anna” in 1974 with director of photography Abdel Halim Nasr, then he participated in acting in the movie “Where is My Mind?”
