A doctor in a hospital in India was fired from his job, after a video clip spread of him hitting and insulting a patient, because the latter did not reveal that he was infected with HIV/AIDS.
The India Today website reported that the 45-year-old patient was transferred to the state-run Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital for treatment of a broken bone, noting that the doctor became angry with the patient who did not reveal to any of his therapists that he was infected with the infectious virus before he began treatment.
In the video of the incident, the doctor appears repeatedly slapping the patient and cursing at him.
