Shabwa Governorate is preparing for the launch of the activities of the Fifth Festival of Heritage and Arts, which will be held during the period from 10 to 12 November this year, which is held by the Governorate’s Culture Office, and under the generous patronage of the Governor of the Governorate, Awad bin Al-Wazir.
Dr. Faisal Hussein Al-Baasi, Director General of the Culture Office in Shabwa Governorate, confirmed that the fifth festival of heritage and arts comes within the interest of the Governor of Shabwa, Sheikh Awad bin Al-Wazir, to preserve the cultural and heritage identity of the governorate, noting that this annual event is an opportunity to highlight the authenticity of Shabwa. And its cultural diversity.
Dr. Al-Baasi added: “This festival represents a special occasion to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Shabwa Governorate, and to highlight folk arts, inherited customs and traditions, indicating that the office seeks, through these events, to shed light on the ancient cultural and artistic heritage and highlight popular traditions and diverse arts.” Which distinguishes it.
Dr. Al-Baasi concluded his statements by saying: “We invite all the people of Shabwa and its visitors to participate in the festival’s activities and enjoy the rich cultural atmosphere, and we affirm our commitment to continuing to work on developing cultural and artistic activities in the governorate in a way that suits the aspirations of its people.
The festival is expected to witness a large attendance of those interested in heritage and arts, in addition to the participation of a number of popular bands and artists from various directorates of the governorate. Its activities include a carnival show, artistic evenings, and exhibitions and pavilions for traditional crafts.
