The King Fahd Cultural Center Theater in Riyadh will host, next Sunday evening, an artistic performance by the Yemeni Orchestra, which will present various musical and lyrical styles inspired by Yemeni heritage, such as Adeni, Sanaani, and Hadrami.
The evening, which is organized by the Saudi Ministry of Culture in cooperation with its Yemeni counterpart, will witness the participation of Saudi musicians alongside creative Yemeni artists to present joint heritage pieces between the two countries.
The Saudi Music Authority participates in the activities accompanying the ceremony with dedicated corners that allow the visitor to learn about the traditional instruments in the Kingdom, while interactive screens display the most prominent recordings from audio and visual memory.
The authority’s corner will also include a space dedicated to musical performances within the “Roads Meets the World” initiative, through which various pieces that combine traditional instruments in the two countries will be presented.
Alef Foundation, in cooperation with the Saudi Ministry of Culture, participates in a photo exhibition that includes its work in the restoration and preservation of heritage and historical sites in Yemen, in cooperation with Yemeni institutions and international organizations.
This cooperation comes in the context of the Ministry’s keenness to promote international cultural exchange as one of its strategic goals, under the umbrella of “Saudi Vision 2030”, and to consolidate the close relations between the two countries in various fields, develop cultural sectors, and continue preserving their heritage.
