The Southern Journalists and Media Syndicate received a report from fellow journalist Majid Al-Shuaibi.
Al-Shuaibi reported in his report that he was detained and interrogated by a security force without legal justification.
While the Syndicate expresses its regret over this behavior against journalist Majed Al-Shuaibi or any reporter committed to performing his activity and profession in accordance with the law and order, it at the same time applauds the leadership of the Third Security Region for the good treatment with him during the period of arrest and detention and for releasing him immediately.< /p>
The union directs to the leadership of the security belt (third sector) and every security apparatus throughout the south and the local authorities, to communicate with the Southern Journalists and Media Professionals Syndicate regarding any measures that it may work to take by notifying the union and its legal department or through the union’s secretariat at its headquarters in the capital, Aden. Or one of its branches in the southern governorates.
The union also asks those in charge of the security services to take into account the work of journalism and media and its members in a way that enhances the approach, message and goals of building the state of the South.
