On Saturday, Queen Rania Al Abdullah met with Al Jazeera correspondent Wael Al Dahdouh, who is currently in Qatar receiving treatment for injuries he sustained while covering the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.

Queen Rania posted a picture with Wael and his family, on her account on the Instagram platform, and wrote: “Some sacrifice a lot for the truth. With one of the mountains of Gaza, Wael Al-Dahdouh.”

She added: “Thank you for transmitting the picture and the news, even when your family was painful news. Your courage made you a true hero.

May God give you patience and protect Gaza and its people.
