Aden Independent Channel is still facing widespread criticism on social media, after it made a mistake in attributing the song “Kalima Even Jabr Khater” by the artist Abbad Al-Jawhar, when it was originally written and composed by the late artist Muhammad Saad Abdullah.
Until now, the channel has not issued any official apology to the late artist Muhammad Saad Abdullah, his family, or his fans.
Many Yemeni artists and intellectuals expressed their dissatisfaction with this mistake, demanding that the channel issue an official apology.
Some activists on social media also criticized the channel's lack of interest in correcting the error, and its lack of respect for intellectual property rights.
The responsibility for the error, according to the channel’s clarification, lies with the Culture Office in Aden, which prepared the program of songs that were broadcast during the Eid days.
Journalist Abdul Rahman Anis, on his Facebook page, provided details of the incident, as a member of the management of the Aden Independent Channel contacted him and reported that the error was due to the Culture Office in Aden, who were in charge of preparing the songs program, indicating that the channel had received a document from the Office of Culture in Aden. Culture proves that.
