Yemen won the first prize for the artistic evening, “Yemeni Nagham in Paris,” in the Variety and Artistic Evenings category at the twenty-fourth Arab Radio and Television Festival, which was held under the slogan (Supporting Palestine) in Tunisia during the period from 26 to 29 June of this year. This is in partnership with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Tunisian Television, Tunisian Radio, and Arabsat.
At the closing ceremony, the winners of the radio and television competitions were announced in which the union’s member bodies participated, in addition to private Arab television networks, production companies, and Arab news agencies, in addition to international Arabic-language satellite channels.
Yemen won the first prize for the artistic, heritage and cultural work “Yemeni Nagham in Paris”, which was held at the Mogador Theater - Paris - last October 2, under the leadership of Maestro Muhammad Al-Qahum, with the participation of an elite group of Yemeni artists from various governorates of the Republic, and the sponsorship of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism and the Foundation. The artwork is a great cultural and heritage epic that contributed to introducing Yemen and highlighting the richness and diversity of Yemeni heritage.
