The Israeli Ministry of Health reported that the autopsy conducted on Sunday on the bodies of the six hostages found in Gaza and then transferred to Israel showed that they were killed “at very close range” and “between Thursday and Friday morning.”
Health Ministry spokeswoman Shira Solomon said in a statement, “The six hostages were killed by Hamas by shooting them from a very close range.”
She added that "they apparently died between 48 and 72 hours before the autopsy, that is, between Thursday and Friday morning."
On Sunday morning, the Israeli army announced that it had found the bodies of 6 Hamas hostages inside a tunnel in Rafah, including an American citizen.
Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said: “We have identified the bodies of the 6 hostages who were found in Gaza and were detained in the October 7 attack, and were killed by Hamas.”
Israelis took to the streets after hostages were found dead in Gaza, with many blaming Netanyahu for failing to return the hostages alive by reaching an agreement with Hamas to end nearly 11 months of war.
