Abu Ubaida, the military spokesman for the Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, announced this evening, Monday, the release of the two detainees, Nurit Yitzhak and Yochved Lifshitz, with Egyptian-Qatari mediation.
Al-Qassam said in a statement, “The enemy has refused since last Friday to accept receiving them, and it is still neglecting the file of its prisoners.”
He said: “We decided to release them for compelling humanitarian and satisfactory reasons despite the occupation committing more than 8 violations of the procedures that were agreed upon with the mediator brothers that the occupation would adhere to during this day to complete the handover process.”
Abu Ubaida announced on Saturday evening that the Israeli occupation refused to receive two more female prisoners held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, without compensation.
He said that he informed the Qatari side, on Friday, that the Phalange would release “two other female prisoners for compelling humanitarian reasons without compensation, but the occupation refused to receive them.”
Abu Ubaida’s statement came: “We informed the Qatari brothers yesterday evening (Friday) that we would release the following: Nurit Yitzhak, ID No. 001145416, and Yochved Lifshitz, ID No. 005236955, for compelling humanitarian reasons and without compensation. However, the occupation government refused to receive them.” .
This came after Al-Qassam released two American detainees, with Qatari mediation.
